The Hospitaller Brothers of St. John of God (O.H.)

St. John of God founded in 1539 in Granada, Spain, a congregation of religious brothers consecrated for the service of the poor, the sick, and the needy. The congregation was later recognized by the Church as the Order of the Hospitaller Brothers of St. John of God. At present, the Hospitaller Brothers are actively working in more than 50 countries, carrying out the mission of hospitality through psychiatric and general hospitals, polyclinics, night shelters, rehabilitation centers and homes for the elderly. In the Philippines, the brothers are operating a charity polyclinic, a special school for children and orphanage for the abandoned children with celebral palsy. Following the footsteps of St. John of God, the brothers are formed and trained in providing holistic care and assistance to those entrusted to them in the spirit of hospitality
